What do we mean by “smart”?
Being smart isn’t an IQ test, a college degree, or a corporate job. We define “smart” as free-thinking individuals who strive to learn more in order to better themselves and the people around them in a positive way. “Smart” is having your own opinions, sticking by them, and knowing why you stick by them, but also having the ability to listen to others and generate intelligent and civil discussion. We urge you to think for yourself and not give in to what the masses are doing.
What do we mean by “sexy”?
As weird as it sounds, Ashton Kutcher said it best:
“The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart. And being thoughtful. And being generous. Everything else is crap, I promise you. It’s just crap that people try to sell to you to make you feel like less. So don’t buy it. Be smart, be thoughtful, and be generous.
We are not going to tell you how to look like a celebrity. We are not going to tell you how to apply makeup for a certain look. We are not going to tell you the fall fashions. Why? Because being sexy is about your confidence and self-esteem. Having a positive self-image and loving your body for what it is, while also staying healthy, is the sexiest thing you can do. So stop comparing yourselves to others, stop putting yourself down, and start being sexy from the inside out. Mark Twain knew what he was talking about when he said “Comparison is the death of joy.”
What do we mean by “geeky”?
Go dress up as a comic book character and go to a comic convention. Get your friends together for a themed movie night. Play a new video game and let yourself become addicted for a while. We define being a geek as someone who has their own interests and hobbies and allows themselves to have fun and let go, despite what others may think. Do you think the guy who spent 3 months on his Iron Man suit for a big convention cares that people are calling him a nerd? Not at all. He’s proud of it. And you should be too. So go ahead. Pick up a controller. Pick up a new game. Get obsessed with a new hobby or craft. Marathon some YouTube tutorials. There’s nothing cooler than knowing a crapload of stuff about things you are genuinely interested in. And an added bonus? You will more than likely meet lots of like-minded people that way.
